A reminder that the dirt that gets thrown our way can be used for development if we so choose. No matter how bad the circumstances are or have been you still have the beautiful gift of choice!
 
You have the power to reframe your thoughts, your actions, and your words. Those things don’t seem like much but if you hate where you are in life and those are the very elements that help compose where we are.
 
I’m also very aware that we don’t choose every situation we land in, and what we can choose is the response and where we end up from that.
 
Every so often I like to take a step back and evaluate my life. My finances, how I act, my relationships, my thought patterns and question why I am where I am. I give my self grace for progress but I don’t ever want to stay in a rut of complaints, excuses and despair. There is definitely a season for that but should never be the destination.
 
I created this piece in a super dark time in my life and I was faced with several choices. I choose to continue to let God use the hardships in life to mold me because even if the testimony is not for me I want to share that there’s hope for someone else!

This piece is dear to my heart. The sunrise eyes represent hope in the midst of disparity. It can also be a sunset depending on weather you are at the dawn or dusk of a season. The cactus is so strong but yet grows in the harsh dessert heat. The species of pine cone only germinates in the depth of the flames, and coral is so beautiful but you only see it underwater.
 
Let the adversities bring out more of the beauty of who you are. Don’t let it take you down.
